Xàbia strengthens its cultural commitment by joining the Sonafilm Festival
Festival Sonafilm will take place from 1 to 24 August and will include a wide variety of activities beyond the concerts, distributed among all the participating towns.

Xàbia will be part of the Festival Sonafilm, a benchmark in the Marina Alta dedicated to film music. In this edition, the event will highlight the musical wealth of Spanish cinema, offering a new proposal for the public who loves culture and film music.
The councillor responsible for Culture, Mavi Pérez (CpJ), highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stressing that “Sonafilm has established itself as an event of great interest for both residents and visitors, and participating in it allows us to continue enriching the cultural programme of Xàbia“.
The festival, which takes place in towns such as Ondara, Denia, Calp, Teulada, Beniarbeig and Pego, has a varied programme that includes concerts and activities in different locations in the Marina Alta. In the case of Xàbia, the show will take place on Tuesday 5th August, taking advantage of the infrastructure used for the Xàbia Jazz festival, and as explained by the festival director, Javier Gil, it will be one of the most surprising performances of this edition.

The head of Sonafilm has highlighted the importance of Xàbia being part of the festival’s route, since, like other prestigious towns in the Marina Alta, its inclusion as a municipality of great projection contributes to obtaining aid and sponsors.
Festival Sonafilm will take place from 1 to 24 August and will include a wide variety of activities beyond the concerts, distributed among all the participating towns. This festival, which in recent years has featured renowned composers and film music experts, seeks to continue growing and consolidate itself as an essential event in the cultural agenda of the Comunidad Valenciana.
Xàbia Council invites residents and visitors to enjoy this unique experience, which combines cinema and music in an event designed for all audiences. The complete programme and information on tickets will be announced soon.
