Xàbia puts out to tender the installation of an outdoor gym in Parque Montaner
The area will include a vertical press weight training machine as well as equipment for shoulder and leg extension.

Xàbia Council has approved the contract details for the installation of an outdoor gym in the Parque Montaner. The project goes out to tender for 21,598.50 euros (IVA included) and a maximum execution period of 30 days.
The project includes the clearing and cleaning of the land, its leveling and the installation of a concrete base where a vertical press weight training machine will be installed, with others for isolateral lats weight training, shoulder and leg extension. There will also be a rowing machine and an exercise bench for carrying out multiple outdoor sports exercises based on Crossfit and Street Workout training exercises.
This outdoor facility is part of the Department of Sports program directed by councillor Alberto Tur to promote healthy outdoor leisure and open spaces. It will complement the calisthenics area already underway in Carrer Vall del Pop-Vorariu and the bio-healthy routes included in the Xàbia Camina initiative.
It has been planned in the lowest part of the Parque Montaner in the area closest to the Music Conservatory, thus completing the use of this space in which there is already a children’s playground, a dog play area and the Riurau d’Arnauda which has an important cultural use (concerts, workshops, social gatherings) and where it is also planned to carry out project to improve its social use.
