Xàbia will once again offer a free ESCOLA D’ESTIU (Summer School). The councilor responsible for Youth, Education and Equality, Montse Villaverde, explained that this service is designed to facilitate family and work reconciliation during school holidays, and at the same time, offer children an educational leisure option so that they can enjoy of the summer.
The format will be similar to last summer, taking place in July and August, and is aimed at boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 14 organized into two blocks: one for 3 years old – who are already enrolled in infant school – and up to 10 years and a second for young people between 10 and 14 years old, and in the morning from 9am to 2pm.
Requests for free places may be made after the Easter and Saint Vincent holidays through the registry (OAC) or the electronic office; the registration period will be published soon. They may enroll for a single month or both in the case of the youngest or fortnightly, the older ones.
The concession of the places will be linked to the scale of the documentation provided, based on the criteria to be assessed (among them if both parents work, if they are single-parent families, large families, etc.) and does not depend on the order of registration.
Once all the applications have been evaluated, the admission will be confirmed personallyby telephone.
