XÀBIA ACHIEVES THE DISTINCTION OF TOURIST MUNICIPALITY
Resolution DOGV 17-01-24 afforded the town this special status in the Comunidad Valenciana.
Xàbia Council has achieved the distinction of Tourist Municipality after meeting the requirements of the 2020 decree that regulates these municipalities. The title certifies that Xàbia meets the criteria of sustainability, comprehensive and inclusive accessibility, improvement and reinforcement of the quality of the tourism services and the improvement of competitiveness and employment, as well as the intelligent management of the tourist destination.
This milestone has been possible after the coordinated work of the government team, the municipal departments as well as the technicians, which has been reflected in the Strategic Tourism Plan, a document that will mark the aims of tourism policy, aimed at recovering the safe and quality tourism that respects our people.
The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana of Wednesday 17th January [DOGV Num. 9768 / 17.01.2024 · RESOLUCIÓN de 9 de enero de 2024, de la Conselleria de Innovación, Industria, Comercio y Turismo] published the resolution of the Regional Secretary of Tourism of January 9 in which the granting of the badge was approved.
