WORK COMPLETED ON AVENIDA JUAN CARLOS I

Work has been completed this week on the pavement improvement project in Avenida Juan Carlos I, the main artery between the old town and the port.

Xàbia Council has invested some 119,000 euros in the project which has been carried out by local company Excavaciones Mayte. The work has included the renovation of the pavement along a short stretch of the road between Nº65 and Nº75, the renewal of drinking water network infrastructure and the installation of a natural gas pipeline and telephone communications. Street lighting has also been changed to more sustainable LED technology.
