After just three pre-season training sessions, CD Jávea kicked off its 2022-2023 pre-season campaign with a match against a CD Dénia Juvenil side, a game separated by a single goal scored in the second half by experienced defender Víctor Caturla.
Head coach Juan Carlos Signes was able to draw first conclusions on the early development of his squad and work on the points brought up during the match over the coming weeks before the season starts on the first weekend of September.
The starting line-up featured 24-year-old goalkeeper Aarón Rebelles between the sticks, Aldo Michan, Victor Caturla, Miguel Mut, Álex Rodriguez, Fran Muñoz, Paco Gazquez, Luis García, Adrián Ramis, and Joan.
The first-half finished goalless. During the second-half, the experienced keeper Tonet took his place between the sticks whilst José Cabo replaced the injured Luis García. And it was Caturla who was able to score the only goal of the game against a young side which also had its chances.
CD Jávea has confirmed that tonight’s pre-season friendly against CEF El Verger has been cancelled “for sporting reasons”. The next game will be on Friday evening at 8.30pm at the Campo d’Esports Municipal Xàbia against CD Pedreguer.
