Valencian region to promote itself at more than 30 national and international tourist fairs

The main target markets are the national and European markets but the region is also targeting the emerging markets of the USA and China.


The Generalitat Valenciana, through the regional tourism agency ‘Turisme CV’, is to intensify its promotion of the Comunidad Valenciana as a tourist destination during the last four months of the year with a number of activities including participation in fairs, workshops, destination presentations and familiarization trips, among others. The planned activities are mainly aimed at the domestic and European markets, but also include those aimed at other emerging markets such as the United States and China.

The regional tourism agency is to promote the Comunidad Valenciana at the Spain Sustainability Day to be held in New York on September 25th where it will highlight the efforts made by the region to promote sustainable tourism. A promotional presentation of the region is also planned at the annual Convention of the American tour operator association USTOA, which will take place from 9 to 13 December in Florida. The agency will also showcase the region at the CITM fair in Shanghai from 14 to 17 November.

Promotion at Major Tourism Fairs

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana will be present at the main national and European tourism fairs that are being held until the end of the year as well as at specialised product events. Within the promotional calendar planned for the last four months of the year, the Comunidad Valenciana will be present at the largest tourism fair in the United Kingdom (WTM in London) as well as participating in events specialising in tourism products such as the largest in Europe dedicated to MICE business tourism (IBTM in Barcelona) and golf (IGTM in Lisbon).

The calendar also includes participation in destination presentations such as the one planned in Munich in November and the presentation of the Comunidad Valenciana as part of the promotional initiative ‘A Night with the Stars’ organized by Jet2 in Leeds in December.

Nationally, the region will be attending the annual TURESPAÑA convention to be held in Tenerife in October, the Valencia Boat Show, aimed at promoting nautical tourism, the BIME fair in Bilbao dedicated to promoting the music industry, the traditional Fira de Tots Sants in Cocentaina, Mediterránea Gastrónoma and the Intur tourism event in Valladolid.
