Colomer explained that the data obtained through the survey carried out by the regional tourism department is superior to the survey that was carried out a month ago, where an occupancy of 75.7% in coastal hotels was estimated for July, and this demonstrates that “last-minute reservations have notably increased our initial forecasts”.
By areas, the estimated occupancy for the city of Valencia is estimated at 87.4% (13.8 points more than in July 2021). For the coast of the province of Valencia (excluding the city) the estimated occupancy was 84.7% (10% more than in July last year).

By provinces, in the interior of Castellón, the estimated occupancy rate stands at 69.31%, which represents an increase of 8.5 points compared to July 2021. In the interior of Valencia, the estimated occupancy rate is 77 .4%, with an increase of 33% year-on-year. For the interior of Alicante, an occupancy of 62% is estimated, which represents an increase of 7.3 points compared to July 2021.
