Valencia CF triumph in VIII Villa de Xàbia Tournament
The tournament featured five young academy teams from Valencia, Alicante, La Nucia, Benitatxell and Xàbia.

The Valencia CF Academy triumphed in the VIII Villa de Xàbia Football Tournament organized by CD Jávea last weekend at the Camp Municipal d’Esports. The alevin and benjamin teams of Valencia CF, Hércules CF, La Nucía, Fútbol Base Benitachell, Peña La Marina and CD Jávea were accompanied by a great atmosphere in the stands generated by the relatives of these youngsters who want to make their way in the world of football.
The tournament was spread over two eight-a-side pitches with 25-minute matches for both categories. Between matches, there was a raffle for all those present, with prizes donated by Levante UD and Atlético de Madrid (one shirt for each team), gloves belonging to Xabiero goalkeeper Adrián Ortolá, two official World Cup balls, and several scarves.
And so the youngsters of Valencia CF proved to be the best in both categories with those of Hercules CF was also in second position in both. In the alevines, the third place went to Penya la Marina de Xàbia and in benjamines the third place went to the Fútbol Base Benitachell.
The awards ceremony was attended by the president of CD Jávea, Jaume Castelló, the coordinator of the CD Jávea Soccer School, Rubén Ortolá and the Councilor for Sports, Alberto Tur.
