TRAM d’Alacant made 164,840 journeys during 2024
FGV units in Alicante travelled 3,086,862 kilometres on the six lines in service, equivalent to 77 trips around the world
Figures released by the regional government show that the TRAM d’Alacant train and tram service made a total of 164,840 journeys across the entire network during 2024, an average of 452 journeys a day. And, as a whole, TRAM d’Alacant and Metrovalencia made 691,324 journeys, an average of 1,894 a day, and covered 9,997,130 kilometres.
The total number of journeys by line:
- Line 1 (Luceros-Benidorm) – 25,876
- Line 2 (Luceros-Sant Vicent del Raspeig) – 48,799
- Line 3 (Luceros-El Campello) – 29,558
- Line 4 (Luceros-Plaza de La Coruña) – 25,309
- Line 5 (Porta del Mar-Plaza de La Coruña) – 21,888
- Line 9 (Benidorm-Denia) – 13,410
The total number of kilometres travelled by line:
- Line 1 – 1,120,363 kilometres
- Line 2 – 436,010 kilometres
- Line 3 – 415,815 kilometres
- Line 4 – 243,524 kilometres
- Line 5 – 192,885 kilometres
- Line 9 – 667,265 kilometres
All these trains and trams put into service by FGV in the Province of Alicante covered a total of 3,086,862 kilometres. This distance is equivalent to making more than 77 complete laps around the world, following the axis of the equator.
