TOWN HALL ALLOCATES 315,000 EUROS TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS AND SELF-EMPLOYED
Up to 8,000 euros is available per applicant to cover expenses such as self-employed contributions and monthly rent.
Xàbia Council has opened the application process to request funding assistance to alleviate the economic crisis suffered by small and medium-sized enterprises as well as the self-employed in the municipality caused by the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
A total of 315,000 euros will be made available, thanks to a subsidy from the Alicante Provincial Council, which will be distributed on the basis of competitive participation with a maximum of 8,000 euros available to each beneficiary.
The terms and conditions of the aid have been prepared by the Departments of Finance and Economic Dynamization and published in the Provincial Official Gazette (BOP 223 · 21/11/203) which means that the application period has now opened and will remain open for natural 10 days.
The aid is intended to subsidize current and paid expenses during the period 01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023 which have an average net return equal to and lower than those obtained during the same period in 2021.
Interested parties must meet the following requirements:
- Have a tax address in the municipality of Xàbia;
- Be registered in the ‘Régimen Especial de la Seguridad Social para Trabajadores Autónomos’ or corresponding professional mutual insurance company, as in the Hacienda on the date of submission of the aid application;
- Be up to date with tax obligations with the State Tax Agency (AEAT), the Ayuntamiento de Xàbia and the ‘Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social (TGSS)’, a requirement that must be met from the date of submission of the application until the date of payment of the subsidy, if applicable.
- Have no outstanding debts with the Ayuntamiento de Xàbia, a requirement that must be met from the date of submission of the application until the date of payment of the subsidy.
- Not be subject to any of the circumstances included in Articles 12.3 and 13.3 of the ‘Ley General de Subvenciones (38/2003)’.
With respect to expenses that could be covered:
- Self-Employed Contributions – 100%
- Monthly rental of the business premises located in the municipality of Xàbia and intended exclusively for the business, for which the lease contract and the invoice and/or proof of payment must be provided showing the natural/legal person requesting the aid – 100%
- Interest expenses on loans for the acquisition of business premises – 100%
- Business electricity and gas expenses – 50%
- Fuel expenses necessary for the operation of the activity – 50%
