Toni Pomera donates 8,000 photographs to Xàbia Municipal Archive
The images feature fiestas and daily life in the town between 1986 and 2000.
Antonio Catalá Soler, better known as Toni Pomera, has donated nearly 8,000 photographs to the Municipal Archive of Xàbia, images related to fiestas and daily life of the municipality, snapshots that span from 1986 to 2000.
The photos form part of Pomera’s own personal collection, a selection of images that includes the many hundreds of people who, in one way or another, have participated in the fiestas of Xàbia, regardless of whether they were in a commission or not.
Toni Pomera handed over the images himself to municipal archivist Juanjo Más last week in the presence of the councillor responsible to Culture and Fiestas, Mavi Pérez (CPJ), and Vicent Ferrer, who carried out the digitization of the photos.
Due to the generosity of Pomera, they are now available to be viewed by all residents in Xàbia at the Municipal Archive in Carrer d’Avall.
