Three restaurants in Xàbia among the 55 best establishments in the Valencian region

The Levante-EMV newspaper and Prensa Ibérica have published their gastronomic guide 55 Best Restaurants in the Comunidad Valenciana, a selection made by Santos Ruiz, critic of the newspaper, and which features establishments in Xàbia and the Marina Alta region.

In Xàbia, Bon Amb, Tula and La Perla restaurants represent the municipality in this guide in the eyes of Ruiz. The first occupies position 4 in the classification while the other two are located in positions 26 and 44 respectively. In the latest edition of the publication, Alberto Ferruz’s kitchen shared the stage with El Rodat, now good work is added by Borja Susilla and Clara Puig in Tula, and by Sergio and Sonia Box in La Perla.

To date, the three restaurants have become standard bearers of xabiera gastronomy, appearing in all specialized rankings. Along with them, other local establishments are displaying an increasingly specialized menu that vindicates native products and the traditional recipe book.

In the selection made by the regional newspaper there are also other well-known names from La Marina Alta. From neighbouring Dénia, there is the prominent Quique Dacosta Restaurante, from El Poblet, Peix i Brases, Agua de Mar and Pont Sec, from Calpe, Beat and Audrey’s, from Ondara the famous Casa Pepa, and from La Vall de Laguar, Nou Cavall Verd.
