Three companies have submitted tenders to build swimming pool
The municipal complex will have two pools and will be approved to host provincial competitions.

The Council has received three offers from companies to build the long-awaited municipal swimming pool; they are Ferrovial Construcciones (Madrid), Contratas Vilor (Valencia), and Pavasal (Valencia).
After closing the period for the submission of tenders, the first contract awarding committee will meet this Thursday 14th January to look at all the proposals and verify that the documentation meets requirements, after which the financial bids and technical improvements will be evaluated.
The swimming pool has a proposed budget of 5 million euros, of which 3 million euros will be provided by funding from the Generalitat Valenciana. It will be built next to the sports centre – Palau d’Esports – in the port zone and will meet to the growing social demand for both sporting and therapeutic activities.
The design has two swimming pools and an activity room for gymnastics and physical fitness. The main pool (25m x 12.5m) will be multipurpose whilst the second, smaller pool (12.5m x 10m) will be dedicated to teaching complementary activities, swimming introduction, both for children and adults, as well as rehabilitation swimming.
The main pool will be approved to host provincial swimming competitions and will benefit from a three-row grandstand, changing rooms suitable for teams, and a small cafeteria.
The total constructed area will be 3,017 square metres and the execution period to complete the construction will be 724 days, or just over two years.
