The Royal Camp of Xàbia opens its doors to celebrate arrival of the Kings
The camp will be located within the grounds of the Ruirau d’Arnauda and open both Friday and Saturday.
The Comisión de Reyes, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Xàbia, has organised the traditional Royal Camp for another year, an event that invites veryone to enjoy the magic of these final days of Christmas and to prepare for the the arrival of Their Majesties from the East.
The Royal Camp, located within the grounds of the Ruirau d’Arnauda amongst the trees of the Parque Montaner, will open its doors today, Friday 3rd January at 4.00pm and they will remain open until to 8.30pm, and then again on Saturday 4th January between 10.30am to 1.00pm and then from 4.00pm to 8.30pm. Admission, as always, is free to everyone.
In this unique space, the little ones will be able to deliver their letters to the royal emissaries and participate in traditional activities such as the workshops for esparto grass weaving. In addition, storytelling sessions have been scheduled each evening at 5.00pm and 7.00pm, designed for all the family.
The Royal Camp will also have a bar service where food and drink will be offered at affordable prices, in an atmosphere that combines tradition and excitement.
The councillor responsible for Culture, Mavi Pérez (CpJ), explained that the Royal Camp of the Three Kings of the East is an event that fills Xàbia with magic and excitement every year. She also underlined the enormous effort and dedication of the Comisión de Reyes, which has carried out an extraordinary job to turn this celebration into an unforgettable experience for all the boys and girls of Xàbia. “All the changes are for the better, so I encourage you to visit the camp and enjoy this initiative that has already become a local tradition.”
