The forecast for Easter weekend hotel occupancy along the coast of Valencia is 74%
Regional Minister Marián Cano points out that these are “provisional figures”, adding that “they are expected to increase with last-minute reservations”.

The occupancy rate for the coastline of the Comunidad Valenciana is expected to reach over 74% during Semana Santa (Easter), according to the results of a survey conducted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana using a representative sample of hotels on both the coast and inland.
The survey also included data provided by HOSBEC for hotel occupancy in Benidorm, data from the Valencia Tourism Foundation for expected occupancy in the city of Valencia, and data from the Valencian Community Camping Federation.
The tourism survey considered two periods during Semana Santa. The first covered the nights of April 11th, 12th, and 13th (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and the second covered the nights of April 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday).
For the main holiday period, from the night of Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday (both inclusive), occupancy is estimated at over 74% along the region’s coast, while hotels inland are looking at an occupancy forecast of 75.4%.
According to the survey, confirmed reservations for the Comunidad Valenciana are estimated at 74% for the coast, with the highest percentage recorded on the coast of the province of Valencia, with an estimated 82%. Meanwhile, the city of Valencia currently is expecting an occupancy rate of 71.3%, while Benidorm is expected to have an occupancy rate of 81.4%. The coast of Castellón has an expected occupancy rate of 72.3% whilst that of the province of Alicante (excluding Benidorm) is forecast for 63%. Campsites along the region’s are expecting to be 90% full.
With regards to the interior of the Comunidad Valenciana, the survey suggests that hotels are expecting an occupancy rate of 75.4% over the Easter weekend (Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday). Specifically, those in the interior of the province of Valencia are expecting to be 88% occupied, those in Castellón, 68%, whilst those in the province of Alicante expected to be 63% full.
The Regional Minister for Innovation, Industry, Trade, and Tourism, Marián Cano, said that the figures were provisional and that it was expected that they would increase with last-minute bookings as occupancy in the Comunidad Valenciana at Easter tends to be influenced by weather forecasts. She added that “the tourism sector is prepared to welcome tourists for this first major holiday event in the tourist calendar,” stressing that “we are a benchmark for tourism during this holiday period, especially for domestic family tourism, characterized by a high level of loyalty“.
