Sunday and fiesta business opening days confirmed for 2025

The proposal must now be authorized by the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism.


The Valencian Trade Observatory has approved the eleven public holidays and Sundays on which the opening of commercial establishments will be allowed during 2025, as marked by regional legislation.

During the meeting chaired by the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Nuria Montes, who was accompanied by the Director General of Commerce, Crafts and Consumption, Maribel Sáez, the Observatory approved by majority to propose to the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism the following 11 Sundays and public holidays for commercial opening for the year 2025:

  • Sunday January 5th 2025 (Los Reyes Magos Campaign).
  • Sunday January 12th 2025 (Winter Sales).
  • Friday April 18th 2025 (Viernes Santos – Easter Tourism Influx).
  • Sunday April 20th 2025 (Domingo de Pascua – Easter Tourism Influx).
  • Sunday July 6th 2025 (Summer Sales).
  • Saturday November 1st 2025 (Todos Los Santos Fiesta).
  • Sunday November 30th 2025 (Christmas Campaign).
  • Saturday December 6th 2025 (Día de la Constitución / Christmas Campaign).
  • Monday December 8th 2025 (Inmaculada Concepción / Christmas Campaign).
  • Sunday December 14th 2025 (Christmas Campaign).
  • Sunday December 21st 2025 (Christmas Campaign).

The Valencian Trade Observatory, attached to the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism headed by Nuria Montes, is a consultative and advisory body in matters of trade in the Valencian region.

Among its functions are those of proposing, without binding nature, the eleven Sundays and festive days whose opening is authorized annually by the Ministry. It is also the body in charge of receiving information on regulatory projects, declarations of areas of high tourist influx and those projects that the Ministry deems to be of interest.

The Valencian Trade Observatory is made up of representatives of business organizations in the commercial distribution sector, including SMEs; the chambers of commerce; organizations that act in defense of consumers; the municipal markets; the unions; the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) and different bodies of the Generalitat Valenciana.
