The summer music season ‘MÚSICA A L’ESTIU’ returns to the historic centre of Xàbia this week, offering a selection of classical concerts in the church square focused on wind instruments. All the performances start at 10.30pm.
MÚSICA L’ESTIU is a workshop for intensive musical improvement based at the facilities of the Xàbia Professional Music Conservatory and combines training, during which students work on selected pieces of their choice by great European soloists, with concerts that enliven summer evenings in the heart of the historic centre of Xàbia.
The artistic director of the workshop is Thomas Indermühle (oboe) who will be assisted by José Luis Estellés (clarinet), Will Sanders (horn) and Pierre Martens (bassoon). The flute and piccolo teacher of the Higher Music Centre of the Basque Country (MUSIKENE) and soloist of the National Orchestra of Spain, Álvaro Octavio Díaz, is also participating as a teacher.
As usual, the soloists will be supported by the pianists Amedeo Salvato and Agnese Eglina, while the academic director is Pilar Fontalba.
