CD Jávea 3-1 CD Contestano

CD Jávea secured their third victory in a row to lift themselves back into the top half of the table, thanks to goals from Fran and substitute Buigues, scored either side of an own goal from Contestano’s Calafat.

Played in damp conditions, the match started strongly for Jávea with striker Rubén Ortolá, making his first start of the season, firing just wide in the opening minutes. It was the home side who had the next opportunity when Cabo’s fierce shot was well blocked by the keeper. And then, on 15 minutes, Jávea “scored” through Ortolá but his effort was somehow ruled out due to what the referee considered to be a foul by the attacker.

The visitors had their moments and dominated the midfield at times but failed to threaten the goal. Ortolá was involved in another controversial moment in the match on 30 minutes when he was pulled back inside the area but nothing was given. As the first half wore on, Jávea lifted their game another gear and took the lead on 39 minutes after some great play from Javi down the left, who then crossed into the box and the ball fell to the feet on Fran who fired home to put the home side in front.

And then just before half-time, Héctor tricky move down the right and subsequent cross confounded the defence and Calafet put the ball into his own goal to give the home side a 2-0 lead at the break.

The second half began well for Contestano and after 54 minutes they forced a free-kick on the edge of the area which Alex was able to comfortably fire past keeper Edu to pull one back for the visitors. And thus began a nervy period for CD Jávea, with the visitors dominating at times but rarely threatening the home goal. At the other end, Javi went close to restoring the two-goal buffer but his effort was cleared off the line by the keeper.

The winner came deep in added on time and involved two of the substitutes. Roberto crossed into the area where David Buigues, who had only just entered the game, was able to score at the second attempt to spark delirious scenes in the stand. Javi had a chance to make it 4 but he was unable to find his way past the keeper and the game was brought to an end with 3-1 victory for CD Jávea.

the third goal came in the extension in a ball from Rober to David who goes into the area, the goalkeeper rejects and David himself scores before the delirium of the stands, Javi himself had another clear chance in discount but he does not know how to define against Otón, with the result of 3-1, ended the match.
