Subsidised summer Spanish courses available for foreign residents

Registration can be made through the HelpDesk and spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Department of Resident Services in Xàbia has organised a new summer season of Spanish language taster courses for foreign residents, a subsidised initiative to promote the integration of all residents of the municipality.

Funded by the Diputación de Alicante, there are 60 spaces available to foreigners who are registered as resident in Xàbia and those interested can register from this week via email to help@helpdesk.org. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The courses will take place during August and September and there will be several levels of Spanish knowledge available so it is intended that assessment tests will take place during the third week of July with group allocations announced the following week. It is expected that the classes will begin in the third week of August.

The classes will be hosted at the Municipal Library Duanes de Mar in Calle Botànic Cabanilles next to the health centre. Although the courses itself are free, the necessary teaching material will be the responsibility of the student.
