SLIDEBOY VEGAS WINS FIRST ARENAL BLUES BATTLE OF THE BANDS
The second edition of ARENAL BLUES will be taking place over the weekend of 15th-17th March 2024.
The first ARENAL BLUES Battle of the Bands took place over the long holiday weekend, six performances at six different venues, at the end of which the audience were able to vote for their favourites. And it was Slideboy Vegas and His Blues Buddies which triumphed, their performance at The Auld Dubliner attracted the most votes.
The competition formed part of the special presentation weekend for the second edition of the ARENAL BLUES music festival which will be taking place over the weekend of March 15th-17th 2024.
Organised by the XaBlues association in conjunction with the Department Culture and the Xàbia Arenal business association, the weekend will feature The Travelling Brothers as headliners as revealed by the organisers in a special presentation during which the councillor responsible for Culture, Mavi Pérez (CPJ), highlighted that Xàbia “is more than sun and sand since we make a strong commitment to culture with festivals such as Arenal Blues”.
The poster for the 2024 edition was designed by Eva Caselles and confirmed that the concerts will take place on the Paseo del Tenista David Ferrer along the Arenal beach with the following acts: Cat Squirrel, Wax & Boggie, The Travelling Brothers, Txus Blues and César Canut & Ibai García Blues Project.
