A total of seven consultancy companies have presented bids to Xàbia Council to develop a Strategic Tourism Plan that will allow the local council to focus on a policy to convert the municipality into a Smart Tourist Destination in accordance with the criteria of the Valencian Tourism Agency and thus be able to qualify for European funding.

The seven companies are: Amundsen Estrategia y Comunicación; Auren Consultores; Castroconsulting Business Strategy; Horwath Art Consulting Spain; Kalmas Gestión Empresarial; Sien Planificación Inteligente; Soluciones Turísticas del Mediterráneo.

The proposals submitted by these companies will be for the drafting the study phase by the relevant area technicians in order to define which is the one that best meets the requirements included in the specifications.

With a budget of 53,000 euros+IVA, the winner will have three years to prepare the Strategic Tourism and Marketing Operational Plan for the municipality 2022-2024, but must also prepare the “self-diagnosis” in accordance with the Smart Tourist Destination tool of the Comunidad Valenciana.

This document will be the basis for the preparation of a Smart Tourist Destination Plan, which will allow Xàbia to access financing programs from both the Generalitat Valenciana, the Ministry or even the European Union, plans that already are in place in the Benissa and Dénia region.

When evaluating the offers, 75 points will be attributed to the lowest bid price and the remaining 25 based on the technical proposals of the applicant companies.
