Registration period opens for foreign residents to vote in local elections 2023
Those residents from non-EU countries with a reciprocal agreement with Spain must register to vote, even if they did so for the 2019 elections.

The registration period for foreign residents residing in Spain from countries with a reciprocal agreement for voting has opened and will remain open until January 15th 2023. This registration is required in order to be included on the electoral roll and be able to vote in the next municipal elections which will taking place on Sunday 28th May 2023.
Citizens of the following countries who are currently registered as resident in Spain are permitted to vote in the next municipal elections but must register to do so, even if they already did so for the 2019 municipal elections:
- Bolivia
- Cape Verde
- Chile
- Colombia
- Ecuador
- Iceland
- New Zealand
- Norway
- Paraguay
- Peru
- South Korea
- Trinidad and Tobago
- United Kingdom
