Registration opens in August for municipal sports schools

The Department of Sports in Xàbia is opening registration for the municipal sports schools, one of the most important sports initiatives in the municipality as it is aimed at the school-age population, both children and teenagers.
Councillor Alberto Tur (Sports) explained that an informative brochure has been prepared the highlights all the sports training on offer in Xàbia, both on a municipal level as well as those organized by local sports clubs. The registration process, the different groups, and the schedules as well as all the related information are give in detail.

At a municipal level, the training on offer includes badminton, paddle tennis, psychomotor skills, psychosport, table tennis, mountain biking, swimming and, new for this year, Supera’t, the sports training aimed at people with functional diversity.

Registrations can be made through the app or website of SPORTTIA.COM from August 1st to December 10th and, as usual, places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. A list of the successful applicants will be published on September 20th.
The councillor called on the population to encourage the children of the municipality to get involved in learning physical activity and sports since it is a very important channel for creating health and positive habits as well as improve social skills.
