Reception for students from Xàbia and Germany who are participating in an exchange program
The youngsters are working on a project on sustainability in the environment.

Mayor José Chulvi, and councillor Montse Villaverde (Education) have received students from Herford in Germany and IES No.1 of Xàbia, both of which participate in the exchange program “Learning Sustainability – Sustainable Learning”.
During this week, 16 young Germans and their two teachers will be in Xàbia getting to know the town and working together with their fellow Xabieros in the project on sustainability and the environment that serves as the axis of the programme, including waste management, the use of bicycles, the existence of pedestrian areas or the promotion of local products.
In April, those from Xàbia will travel to Germany for an enriching experience.
The municipal officials welcomed the students and explained the municipality’s commitment to sustainability, the actions implemented in recent years and the challenges of achieving balanced and respectful tourism.
