Police arrest two people involved in robberies in the Arenal area
At least five homes were robbed in the area during the same night.
In the early morning of Monday 26th August, officers from the Policía Local were informed that a resident in the Arenal zone had surprised a women who had broken into her home in a bid to steal items. When the suspect tried to flee, the resident restrained her until the police arrived.
At the same time, a man was arrested by a separate police patrol after witness had seen him running away and stolen items from at least four homes, including jewelry, money, mobile phones, documents and credit cards, were discovered in the vicinity of these arrests.
Officers from the Policía Local and Guardia Civil arrested the suspects, aged 28 and 29, for the alleged crime of burglary, following the investigation by the latter state body which confirmed robberies at five homes between 1.00am and 5.30am on the same day.
