In the early evening of Good Friday, the people of Xàbia accompanied their treasured images in solemn procession through the historic centre.
As the sun dipped behind the horizon and the sky began to darken, the people of Xàbia gathered in the heart of the historic centre, many carrying candles, to accompanied the treasured images of the town in solemn procession through the narrow streets of the town to mark Viernes Santo – ‘Good Friday’ – as had long been tradition.
