The final three days of fiesta and we’re racing towards its explosive conclusion. But, on June 22nd, there is a pause as the quintas, penyas, groups and associations parade through the historic centre to arrive at the fortress-church of San Bartolomé to make their traditional offering of flowers to Sant Joan.
The bouquets, predominantly red and white, are placed into a framework to create a marvellous collage of colour in front of the door of San Gil, a task which has been the responsibility of Penya La Patxorra.
