One of our favourite days of the Fogueres de Sant Joan, arguably the biggest party of the year in Xàbia, is the special day when all the ‘quintàs’ come together to celebrate their special day, especially those who are celebrating a special anniversary, such as their 25th year together.
It’s an emotional day for many. Many xabieros and xabieras travel home from across the country to meet up with the old friends again; some even travel in from other countries. It’s the ultimate reunion day, in which several generations participate.
However, once again, the global pandemic has claimed another year and thus we will have to wait until 2022 to enjoy this very special occasion once again.
