The choral group is open to children aged between 5 and 14 with classes taking place on Friday afternoons.

The PETIT ARS project is now in its fourth year. The initiative, which has grown exponentially during its first years of life, opens its doors once again to all the boys and girls of Xàbia and the region who are interested in the world of music and voice.

PETIT ARS is an educational project developed by ARS NOVA which has the support of Xàbia Council. It is especially focused on the values involved in singing from the heart, such as listening, teamwork, respect, solidarity, effort and commitment. In addition, through singing and movement, the boys and girls learn concepts of musical language in a completely practical way.

Pre-registration period for the 2024-2025 course is open until August 31 and this year it can be carried out online through ARS NOVA website here where the name and year of birth of the child as well as contact information are required.

The course, which is open those born between 2011 and 2019, groups children according to age and is carried out in different sessions that on Friday afternoons (5 to 8 years old from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and 9 to 14 years old from 4.30pm to 5.30pm). Registration is inclusive and does not require previous musical knowledge. All the information about the project is available on the website.

As for the activities planned for the course, PETIT ARS will once again join forces with ARS NOVA for the traditional Christmas concert, which this year will be part of the programme of “Antoni Llidó Year” and will be dedicated to him. The concert will be on Sunday 15th December at 11.00am in the church of the Augustines Convent in Placeta del Convent.

The organisers also hope to be able to repeat some outings similar to the one they enjoyed in April 2023 participating in the XVII Meeting of Children’s Choirs at the Teulada-Moraira Auditorium and which was a very enriching experience, they teamed up and were able to enjoy a unique space.
