Penya Quin Gatxull cooks the best paella in the Fogueres 2024 competition
The group were presented with a cash prize of 100 euros for producing the best dish.
Once again, the paella competition of the Fogueres de Sant Joan de Xàbia proved to be a great success with around 30 penyas taking part in the special evening at the bull venue in Avenida Palmela.
They presented a wide variety of rice dishes of all specialities, from seafood version to the more traditional Valencian paella but it was the mixed paella of Penya Quin Gatxull which impressed the judges of the Comisión de Fogueres the most, winning the group a cash prize of 100 euros.
After the cooking, all the participants were able to relax and dance the night away to music provided by Glop Esponja.
