Noise restrictions in place during July and August
Work that produces noise levels likely to disturb residents will be prohibited during certain hours.

Xàbia Mayor Rosa Cardona has signed an edict to regulate sounds levels during July and August with the objective of preserving the quality of life of residents and guarantee periods of rest during these hot summer months.
Two periods are established during which noisy work can be carried out:
- 09:00-15:00
- 17:00-20:00
The edict prohibits work capable of producing levels of noise and vibrations likely to disturb residents and the local neighbourhood to be carried out outside of those hours across the whole of the municipality, that is between 15:00 and 17:00 – the ‘siesta’ – and between 20:00 and 09:00 the following day.
The edict also prohibits work being carried out on the public highway, except in the case of emergency, urgency and municipal work.
Officers from the Policía Local de Xàbia will monitor compliance with this edict and report infractions which will be sanctioned in accordance with current municipal regulations.
The town hall urges residents as well as business people from all sector to comply with these regulations for the benefit of all the people of Xàbia.
