New director of Parque Natural del Montgó meets with municipal officials

The Parque Natural del Montgó y la Marjal have a new director. José Antonio Hernández takes over from Joseba Rodríguez who assumed the position in 2017. Hernández works in the Ministry’s civil service and has been head of the Protected Natural Areas Management Service.
The new director has already met with the mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, the councilor for the Environment, Toni Miragall and the Councilor for Services, Kika Mata.
In addition to introducing themselves, the four exchanged impressions on the protection of the Cova Tallada (which extends its limited capacity period to include Easter), the protection of posidonia underwater seagrass and the Cap de Sant Antoni Marine Reserve and issues that affect to the residents of La Plana within the same natural park as the maintenance of plots or access roads to homes.
