NEW COUNCIL EMPLOYMENT PLAN GOES TECHNICAL
Employment plan will offer technical and administrative positions in municipal areas.
The board of representatives at Xàbia Council has agreed to start preparing a new public employment plan and this time the selected target group will not be decided by social criteria but by technical standards. The specific positions will be of a technical or administrative nature and will strengthen areas in local government.
Mayor José Chulvi explained that it is one of the measures that all parties with municipal representation have agreed to continue in order to support the local economy during these months of uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 health crisis. The process will begin by analysing the requirements of the different municipal areas before drafting a plan with a specified budget. The intention is that the successful applicants will start work during the first quarter of 2021.
This is the second employment plan developed by the local administration in recent months. At the moment, there are 34 people hired as forestry workers, construction workers, caretakers and cleaning personnel through a social programme in which the Council has invested some 500,000 euros as part of the project to encourage the economic and social recovery after the COVID-19 health crisis.
