Xàbia Council has opened a public consultation period to view the municipal action plans against the risk of flooding and forest fires as well as the updated municipal territorial emergency plan, last overhauled in 2006, which adapts the new sectoral regional regulations.

The documents set out all the protocols and tool available to act at the local level in the event of a forest fire or flooding which have already been reviewed by the Generalitat Valenciana and now face the public consultation phase in order to give a voice to residents and obtain as many additional contributions as possible from other people or groups.

The documents, which set out all the protocols and tools available to act at the local level in the event of a fire or flood, have already been reviewed by the Generalitat and now face their participation phase in order to give a hearing to citizenship and obtain as many additional contributions as may be made by other persons or entities.

The plans are available on the council bulletin board and on the web portal here. To access the electronic headquarters, you will need an digital certificate or CL@VE.

With this regulation, Xàbia Council says that it has taken a further step in terms of emergency response, a path that began in 2017 with the preparation of the Local Forest Fire Prevention Plan (approved in 2020).

The two self-protection plans for the Portitxol and Granadella coves are also ready, technical guides that define the necessary actions in terms of prevention and try to reduce reaction times in the event of a forest fire that could affect both zones and to define the action processes that contribute to the safety of the people who are in this environment in the event of a risk situation.

Both documents will be put to a vote in plenary this month.

For many years, you’ve told us how much you love what we’re doing and some of you have even asked for ways to say thanks. For us, there really is nothing easier to show someone how much you appreciate their efforts than buying them a beer (or a wine; or even a coffee) – it’s so simple.
