MUSIC CONSERVATORY STUDENTS PAY TRIBUTE TO FEMALE COMPOSERS
The concert featured pieces by Giselle Galos, Clara Schuman and Alice Gómez as well as Dimitri Shostakovich.
The students of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Xàbia have paid tribute to female composers in the fifth edition of the “DONES EN LA MÚSICA” concert, organized as part of the town’s celebrating marking International Women’s Day.
Those attending this special concert were able to enjoy pieces by Giselle Galos, Clara Schuman and Alice Gómez as well as Dimitri Shostakovich, which were performed by María Bolufer (violin), Mar Cholbi (oboe), Aylin Pilalola (piano); Mari Carmen Buigues, Carlos Costa, Eric Cristian Dumbrava, Elizavetha Konak with individual works on the piano as well as Desaleng Ronda (violin), Cristina Delgado (bassoon) along with Sergio Gapyak, Joan Fernández and Joan Salort, all on percussion.
The concert was attended by the student’s teachers, Sivlia Ferrer, Cristina Delgado and Joan Bou as well as the director of the Conservatory, Anna Bas, as well as the family and friends of the young musicians.
