Music and dancing will fills the streets of all three centres for the rest of August

There will be live music, dance performances, and a special Summer Night shopping promotion night.


The Department of Economic Promotion in collaboration with the Federation of Organisations of Xàbia (FORXA) have organised a series of activities to liven up the three commercial centres of the town during the rest of the month of August.

MÚSICA I BALLS VORA MAR (which means “Music and Dance Next to the Sea” in English) is a season of entertainment organised by the Xàbia Port business association in the port area of the town which kicked off last weekend with dancing, batucada and live music.

This Saturday 17th August, there will be performances by the Footworks Dance School, the Xàbia Batucam batucada group and local rock group Tòxic, all on the Paseo Pintor Joaquín Sorolla in front of Bar El Clavo.

On the evening of Saturday 22nd August, the German Blues Trio will be performing Afro-American sounds in Calle Andrés Lambert.

MÚSICA AL CARRER (which means “Music in the Streets” in English) has been organised by the Xàbia Històrica business association which has created a programme of various groups performing in the streets of the historic centre.

On Saturday 17th August, there will be a “Pin-Up Festival” in Plaza de Baix, Plaza de la Iglesia and Plaza Celestino Pons.

On Sunday 18th August, Joe Wilkinson will be performing in Plaza de la Iglesia, Zambra will be playing at the junction of Carrer La Coma and Calle Mestre Ángel Palencia on Wednesday 21st August, and The Renegades will be playing in the Plaza de la Iglesia on Friday 30th August.

In addition, there will be the season’s second Summer Night on Friday 16th August, also organised by the Xàbia Històrica business association, which has a separate programme.

Meanwhile, in the ARENAL, the craft fair is open every evening whilst on Thursday 29th August, next to the Tourist Info Office, there will be Lindy Hop Dancing.
