Montgó cross-country race celebrates 30th anniversary uniting Xàbia and Jesús Pobre through sport
The 12km race will take place this Sunday 16th October at 9.00am, starting in the Plaza de la Constitución in Xàbia.

Athletics fans have an appointment this Sunday with one of the most iconic cross-country races in the Marina Alta. The ‘Cross Baix Montgó’ is here, organized by the Club d’Atletisme Llebeig Xàbia and La Faixa de Jesús Pobre athletics clubs, and which celebrates no less than its 30th edition.
The competition will start on Sunday at 9.00am from Plaza de la Constitución. The race joins Xàbia and Jesús Pobre in a route of 12 flat kilometres in which the steep southern cliffs of the Montgó massif always accompanies the runner. It runs along the Camí Vell de Gata, Calle Mauritania, Partida Benimadroc, Calle Tobago, Camí Vell de Pedreguer, Camí Les Valls and several paths tracks to the riurau in Jesús Pobre.
Registration is open until Friday at 8.00pm and can be processed online through the Somesport website HERE. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
In addition, Sunday will see the regional school cross-country league starts in Jesús Pobre. The races of the different categories will be held from 12 noon in the riurau in the village
