Xàbia athlete, Moha Rida, who runs with the Club Atletisme Baleària Dianium shirt, claimed fifth spot in the absolute classification of the 5k Playa d’En Bossa in Ibiza and finished top of his category in the competition that was held on the island last weekend.
The run took place on the tourist beach of this special island, with 112 runners including Moha Rida and Youssef Ahatach, both of Club Atletisme Baleària Dianium.
Rida told XAD that it was the first competition in which he has been able to compete after a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic and, despite this, he still managed to finish with the fifth best time of 15:37, a time that saw him finish top of the Master 35 category. Ahatach finished sixth.
The runner explained that it was a “very fast” race in which the leading group – which included both Rida and Ahatach – ran the whole route virtually in isolation. Rida also highlighted the “very high level” of the competition as it was a race that had been incorporated into the national calendar.
