Two excellent restaurants in Xàbia have retained their Michelin Star awards for 2025. The prestigious distinctions were announced in a special gala evening on Murcia on Tuesday evening during which 35 new restaurants in Spain achieved their first Michelin star, three were awarded two stars for the first time and a single new three star restaurant.

Although Xàbia didn’t receive any new distinctions, both Bon Amb Restaurante (Alberto Ferruz – “This is a chef who always turns to the Mediterranean and Alicante’s Marina Alta for his magnificent fish and seafood, which take centre stage alongside produce from his bountiful vegetable gardens, and herbs from the Montgó mountains”) and Restaurante Tula (Borja Susilla and Clara Puig – “[they] offer guests enticing dishes with the essence of the Mediterranean in which their training in leading restaurants is clearly evident”) retained their Two Star** and One Star* awards respectively. However, the Michelin Guide also lists its recommendations and the municipality has three restaurants which have been afforded such a distinction: La Perla de Jávea, Restaurante Tosca and Volta i Volta.

The only Michelin Three Star restaurant in the Marina Alta continues to be Restaurante Quique Dacosta in Dénia, which the guide considers has the philosophy “to champion nature and showcase the produce of the Mediterranean, always maintaining a clear commitment to the circular economy and even delivering the odd deliberately provocative dish as food for thought”.

The Marina Alta can boast a total of 12 Michelin stars for 2025:
