CIUDADANOS POR JÁVEA (CpJ) has selected Mavi Pérez Font as a candidate to lead the list of the independent party in the May elections. Pérez takes over from Juan Ortolá and will be in charge of leading the CpJ project, fully committing to the party and working to improve the lives of citizens.

After being chosen by her fellow party members, Mavi Pérez said that she was very excited and grateful for the trust placed in her: “100 days full of moments together await us, where we will share ideas, projects, enthusiasm and work to make this project a reality. I hope to respond to that trust that you have all placed in me and, for this, I firmly commit to dedicate all my enthusiasm and work capacity to achieve a better Xàbia, valuing integration, inclusion, tolerance and civic participation. My goal is Xàbia, our people, those of us who have been lucky enough to be born here and all those who have decided to make Xàbia their town”.

In her first words as a candidate, Mavi also promised to “lead an exciting and inclusive project for all the residents of Xàbia, acting from closeness, focusing on the people, without personalism and, without having to submit to the ideological that the big political parties dictate. Because the great force of citizens for Jávea is the great group that we form”.

The CpJ candidate is a kindergarten teacher and has owned a kindergarten in Xàbia since 2006. Pérez is a woman closely linked to the cultural and festive associations of Xàbia. She is a member of the Grup de Danses del Portitxol and a member of the Colla Portitxol. In addition, she is also linked to Moros i Cristians, being a member of a filà and, in 2016, she was President of the Sant Joan Fogueres Commission.

Now Mavi Pérez, a member of CpJ since 2018, takes on a new challenge. She will stand for the next elections leading Ciudadanos por Jávea, with the commitment to work from “transparency, humility and sense common”.

CpJ celebrates 23 years in the local politics of Xàbia, being the only independent party that continues to maintain the confidence of the people of the town legislature after legislature.
