Mateo Carbonell claims first place in the Calp Children’s Sailing Trophy
Five young Xàbia sailors claimed spots on the podium at the event in Calp.

The Optimist class sailor from Club Náutico Jávea, Mateo Carbonell, was the best in the children’s sailing trophy held this weekend at the Real Club Náutico de Calp, scoring for the regional cup.
The Club Náutico Jávea Optimist fleet achieved excellent results as, apart from Carbonell, Carlota Gómez was the second best in girls, and in the Under-13s Tomás Carbonell was the best whilst runner-up went to Arthur Baker, and Begoña Pérez-Manglano was the best in girls Under-13s category.
In the Absolute classification, Mateo Carbonell finished top, Lewis McGregor was sixth, Tomás Carbonell eighth in his first competition with the Optimist class A sailors whilst Arthur Baker finished 9th.
