MATCH REPORT | UD TAVERNES 1-1 CD JÁVEA
A goal from Elian 15 minutes from time cancelled out the opener from the hosts and forced a share of the spoils.
CD Jávea battled out a brave 1-1 draw at UD Tavernes on Saturday evening, a valuable point won at a historically difficult pitch for the rojiblancos, although the side remains firmly rooted at the bottom of the table, four points adrift of safety after wins for L’Olleria CF and CD Thader.
The hosts have always been a very confident side on their own patch and pushed the rojiblancos from the kick-off but Jávea remained strong in defence and had the patience to take advantage of the opportunities that came to them.
In the second-half, Tvarenes took the lead on the 57th minute after an unfortunate slip from Mario but the rojiblancos refused to be downhearted and strode forward to force the equaliser through Elian on 75th minute and ultimately claim a share of the spoils. The final whistle also broke a “curse” for CD Jávea as it was the first time that UD Tavernes’ Joan Talens had failed to score against the rojiblancos for several seasons.
