MATCH REPORT | CF La Nucía ‘B’ 1-1 CD Jávea

CD Jávea slip back into the bottom three after a 1-1 draw against the ‘B’ side of CF La Nucía, thanks to the 3-1 victory of CD Thader over bottom club Callosa Deportiva CF. With two games to go, just six points separate the bottom seven clubs and it’s going to be a real battle to avoid relegation.

Jávea took the lead on 26 minutes through Javi and held on to the break. However, the home side equalised four minutes into the second-half through Mohammed and neither side could find the opportunity to claim three valuable points.

Elsewhere, Santa Pola CF lost at home 0-2 to Hércules CF ‘B’ whilst CD Dénia were defeated 3-0 at second-placed club Crevillente Deportivo. The other side in danger of being dragged into the fight against relegation, L’Ollería CF, lost 0-2 at home to FB Redovan CF.

At other end, champions Benidorm CF defeated CF Independiente Alicante 2-1 at home whilst Crevillente Deportivo secure second position and a play-off spot with their home win over CD Dénia. There is a four-horse race to secure the final play-off position with CD Olímpic currently in third place thanks to a 2-1 win over CF UD Calpe, who drop to fourth. CD Eldense ‘B’ won 2-1 away at CF UE Tavernes to keep their play off dreams alive whilst FB Redovan CF won 0-2 away at L’Ollería CF.

Next weekend, CD Jávea face CF UE Tavernes in their last home game of the season and a win is a must to keep the relegation battle alive into the last game, so a good turnout would be appreciated by the lads. The atmosphere against CF Benidorm was fantastic and the team proved that they can return that support with goals. Let’s do it again!
