Marta Sánchez claims silver at the Formula Kite World Championships in Sardinia
It was a satisfactory result after her recent recovery from a calf muscle injury.

Marta Sánchez, from Club Náutico de Jávea, claimed silver in the Women’s Masters category in the 2021 Formula Kite World Championships that was held last weekend in Torregrande in Sardinia’s Gulf of Oristano
Sánchez travelled to the Italian island with the Spanish squad and, after 14 rounds, managed to secure 12th position in the silver group, finishing amongst the top ten in this group in the last two rounds.
At the end of the competition, Sánchez was placed second in the world in the Women’s Masters category, behind Thailand’s Benyapa Jantawan and ahead of Maria do Socorro Reis from Brazil, a satisfactory result considered her recent recovery from a calf muscle injury.
