Lliga À Punt Comunitat – Grup Sud

Novelda UD CF remain top despite their first defeat since January ending a run of 11 games unbeaten which has lifted them into top spot. UE Tavernes have closed the gap to one point after a comfortable home win against L’Olleria CF whilst Hércules CF “B” remain in third spot after winning the Alicante derby.

Benigànim CF stay in touch with the top three after their first win in four games and three points now separates the top four spots. SC Torrevieja climb into fifth spot after a very comfortable 4-0 away win at CF Gandia, leapfrogging over CFI Alicante who lost at home to Hércules CF “B”. Olímpic de Xàtiva also exchange places with CD Thader, coming out on top of the clash between the two sides.

At the other end of the table, CD Eldense “B” are closing the gap with their second successive win, an away victory over bottom club Paterna CF who, on current form, are also certainly going to be relegated. Who will join them remains a three-horse race. CF Gandia haven’t won since the end of January and look most likely to suffer a second successive relegation after having to relinquish their place in the Tercera Federación last summer after failing to provide a significant financial guarantee to RFEF that it would be able to complete the 2024/25 season. CD Eldense “B” are picking up points in their bid to avoid an immediate return to the Primera FFCV whilst just above them, CD Dénia’s run of four successive defeats have dragged them into the relegation fight.

Primera FFCV – Grupo 4

CD Jávea’s lead at the top of the table was reduced to five points after the 3-4 defeat at Villena CF, the rojiblancos throwing away a 3-1 lead to suffer their first defeat in seven games. Mutxamel CF closed the gap after a 3-1 win at bottom club CF Intercity “B” whilst the form team of the moment CF Murada are just a point behind after their 1-0 home win over Villajoyosa CF, their eight successive game without defeat.

Santa Pola CF remain just a point behind in fourth spot after a 2-1 home win over CF Montesinos whilst CD Betis Florida won their first game in four, an impressive 3-0 win at CD Almoradi, who drop to eighth spot. Four points separates 2nd and 5th spot and the race is definitely heating up for the play-off spot, if not the top spot.

At the bottom. Both CF Intercity ‘B’ and CF Sporting de San Fulgencio lost and are almost certain of relegation, whilst Villena CF’s win over CD Jávea lifts them out of the bottom three for the first time since the end of February, their place taken by Benferri CF who slip back into the relegation zone after defeat at CD El Campello.

Segona FFCV – Grupo 6

CF Simat remain top by two points after their comfortable 5-1 win at CF Safor Gandía extended their unbeaten run to 16 games. FB Teulada-Moraira remain in the chase for the top spot after a narrow 1-0 win in the Marina Alta derby at Gorgos CF, Damiús CF are four points behind in third spot after a 4-1 home over Real de Gandía CF.

At the bottom CD Dénia ‘B’ are all but relegated after a 2-5 home defeat to CF Bellreguard leaves them with a gigantic task of winning all their final six games and hoping that the team above them lose all their matches. Almussafes CF are likely to join them after a 3-2 away win at CF Cullera, whilst UD Alginet’s recent resurgence was checked by UE Benifaió, leaving them four points adrift of safety.

Tercera FFCV – Grupo 12

CF Benitatxell’s unbeaten run extends to 27 games after a 1-0 away win at CD UD Calpe “B” extends their winning streak to eight games and they remain nine points clear at the top of the table, having all but secured at least a play-off spot. However CEF El Verger will not give up the fight for automatic promotion after a comfortable 4-0 win at CF Pedreguer extends their own winning run to five games and opens up a nine-point gap between themselves at CF UD Calpe “B” in third spot.

Finally, credit should be given to bottom club CD Iraklis “B” who not only picked up their first win in eleven games but also claimed their first away victory of the season.
