MARINA ALTA FOOTBALL ROUND-UP | 22/23 March 2025
CD Jávea maintain a five-point lead at the top of Group 4 in the Primera FFCV.

Lliga À Punt Comunitat – Grup Sud

Novelda UD CF maintain top position after a narrow 1-0 away victory at bottom club Paterna CF, the visitors opening the scoring after just two minutes through Juanma Ruana to confirm a tenth successive game without defeat and a four-point lead at the top.
Benigànim CF remain in second – just – despite another defeat, this time at home to Hércules CF who snatched all three points with a goal from Hamza Abdelilah in the dying seconds of the game. UE Tavernes moved up into third spot and the final play-off position after 1-0 home win over CF UD Calpe, the home side handed all three points after the visitors put into their own net four minutes from time.
At the other end of the table, Paterna CF and CD Eldense ‘B’ remain on 18 points, nine points adrift of safety after defeats to Novelda UD CF and Olímpic de Xàtiva respectively. CF Gandia lost at home to UD Carcaixent and remain in 14th spot, six points behind CD Dénia who have a little breathing space between themselves and the drop zone, despite a 0-2 home reverse to CD Thader.
Primera FFCV – Grupo 4

CD Jávea remain five points clear at the top of the table after a 3-0 away victory at CF Sporting de San Fulgencio, the goals coming from Adrían Gil (2) and Leo Blasco, the latter’s first for the club since his move from CF Benidorm earlier in the season. It was the rojiblancos tenth win in eleven games during which they have only conceded five goals.
Mutxamel CF remain in second spot after a comfortable 2-0 away win at CD El Campello whilst CD Almoradí move into third place despite a 0-0 draw at home to Villajoyosa CF, leap-frogging over Santa Pola CF who suffered their first home defeat of the season, a 3-5 reverse against struggling club CF Benferri who actually held a five goal lead at half-time. After a major reshuffle, the home side scored three times in the first eight minutes of the second-half but couldn’t find enough to force a share of the spoils.
The bottom three remains unchanged. Both CF Intercity ‘B’ and CF Sporting de San Fulgencio lost at home to Catral-Castrum CF and CD Jávea respectively whilst Villena CF carved out a respectable home draw against CF Betis Florida to keep in touch with the safety zone.

Segona FFCV – Grupo 6

CF Teulada-Moraira maintain a one-point lead at the top of the table after a 3-0 home win over UD Benifairó, their fifth victory in a row. CF Simat are hanging on to their shirt tails after a 2-2 draw at Daimús CF whilst CF Gorgos are just three points behind after a 2-1 home win extends their unbeaten run to 12 games.
At the bottom, CD Dénia ‘B’ moved into double figures after a 1-1 home draw against UD Beniopa but they remain 12 points adrift of safety with just eight games to go. Almussafes CF’s 1-2 defeat at UD Oliva was their eighth successive defeat and they have not won a game since October. UD Alginet occupy the final relegation spot but a five-game unbeaten run means that they have closed the gap to just one point and might just pull off an amazing change of fortune after opening the season with eight straight defeats.
Tercera FFCV – Grupo 12

CF Benitachell’s unbeaten run extends to 25 games after a 2-0 away win at Beniarbeig CF, former Jávea players Pablo Irigoyen and Rubén Ortolá scoring the goals in the first half, the latter moving into second spot in the scoring table for the group with 14 goals in total.
CEF EL Verger are nine points behind and sitting a bit more comfortably in the play-off zone after a 2-0 away win at bottom club CD Iraklis ‘B’ whilst CF UD Calpe ‘B’ remain in third despite a 1-2 home reverse against UD Benissa ‘B’. CE Pedreguer remain in fifth spot after a 2-2 home draw against CD El Campello ‘B’ and continue to slip away from the top of the table, having won just once in the past five games.
