Both Marina Alta sides picked up valuable away wins to lift themselves away from the bottom three. CD Dénia snatched all three points with a late winner from former CD Jávea midfielder Ferran Molina to condemn SC Torrevieja to their first home defeat of the season. Meanwhile, CF UD Calpe came back from behind to claim maximum points thanks to a brace from former CD Jávea striker Cristian ‘Panucci’ Gonzalez scored in a minute in the middle of the second-half to secure only the second away win of the season for the Calpinos.

A goal from Javi Berenguer in the first half secured victory of CD Betis Florida in the suburbs of Alicante in the big battle between the two in-form sides of the group. With Mutxamel CF unbelievably crashing at home 3-0 to strugglers Villena CF, their first away victory of the season, and Santa Pola CF only managed a draw at Callosa Deportivo, the ‘rojiblancos’ top the table for the first time this season, thanks to a better head-2-head record against Mutxamel CF (the first “double” of the season).

FB Teulada-Moraira move into second spot after a 4-0 away win at bottom three club Almussafes CF, the club’s fifth successive game without defeat on the road. Gorgos CF are just four points behind after a 2-0 win at UD Beniopa, extending their unbeaten run to 10 games, the last defeat being to FB Teulada-Moraira back in November. CF Orba came back from a 0-1 half-time deficit to score two late goals to keep in touch with the chasing pack and extend their own run to three games without defeat. At the bottom, CD Dénia “B” crashed 3-0 away at third-placed Daimús CF, their eleventh game in a row without a win, and they are now 13 points adrift of safety.

CF Benitachell opened up a commanding nine-point lead at the top of the table after a stunning 10-1 home win over CE Pedreguer, who were sitting comfortably in third spot at the beginning of the weekend. Former CD Jávea players were amongst the goals – Rubén Ortolá (3), Alvaro Tiscar (3) and Pavlo Irogoyen (2). Their closest rivals, CEF El Verger, couldn’t get the result they needed to keep the chase for top spot on at CD El Campello “B”, despite taking the lead mid-way through the first half. UD Ondarense scored three goals for no reply against the reserve side of FB Teulada-Moraira, former CD Jávea midfielder Dani García scoring twice late in the second-half to secure their fourth successive victory whilst Beniarbeig CF found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-8 thumping away at CF UE Finestrat.
