CD Jávea’s narrow 1-0 away win at CF Intercity CF “B” keeps up the momentum and lifts the side to within three points of the top three.

Both Marina Alta sides continue to struggle to put together a consistent run to lift themselves up the table and are now well off the page for a chance of promotion to the national league pyramid.

UD CF Calpe suffered a 1-2 reverse at home to Novelda CF, all the goals coming in the first half, a defeat which drops them down to 10th spot with 19 points from 16 games. CD Dénia drew 2-2 at home to Olímpic de Xàtiva, for CD Jávea midfielder Renzo Ridao putting the home side ahead on 17 minutes before the visitors equalised seven minutes later. Dénia restored their lead through substitute Ribén Zazo three minutes into the second-half before Victor Giner equalised for Olímpic on 72 minutes to ultimately force a share of the spoils.

Hércules CF “B” continue to the top the table, thanks to a 2-0 home win over bottom club CD Eldense “B” whilst Beniganím CF moves into second spot after a 2-0 victory at home over UD Carcaixent. UD Tavernes occupy the other play-off spot after a 2-1 home win over CFI Alicante. CD Thader drop out of the top three after suffering their first home defeat of the season, a 0-1 reverse in the derby game against SC Torrevieja.

At the bottom, just two points separate the bottom four. CD Eldense “B” remain bottom with 13 points from 16 games whilst CF Gandía are a point ahead, losing 2-3 away at FB Redovan CF, along with Paterna CF who chalked up their eighth away defeat in away games, a narrow 0-1 reverse at L’Olleria CF.

Leading Scorers: Juan M Ruano Ponzo (Novelda UD FC) – 8 goals in 14 games (2 penalties) and Matias Nicolas Lazague Rivero (SC Torrevieja) – 8 goals in 15 games (4 penalties).

Primera FFCV – Grupo 4

A first-half goal from Adrián Gil at bottom club CF Intercity “B” secured CD Jávea third victory in a row. Making his first start of the season, the 19-year-old forward struck five minutes from the break to continue the rojiblancos drive up the table and the side now sits just three points off the top two places at the half-way stage of the season.

Mutxamel CF returned to the top after a 2-1 home win against CD Betis Florida whilst CD Almoradí’s impressive run of form continues, the 2-1 home win over bottom club Villena CF, their fifth victory in succession, moving them up into second spot. Santa Pola CF drop to third after a 0-4 defeat at Catral-Castrum CF, their first loss in five games.

At the bottom of the table, bottom club Villena CF are still searching for their first win since mid-November whilst CF Intercity “B” are just one point above them after defeat to CD Jávea. Both clubs are well adrift of safety and look early favourites for the drop to Segona FFCV. CF Sporting de San Fulgencio occupy the final relegation spot, thanks to a 3-0 defeat at CD Murada, their fourth game in a row without a win.

Segona FFCV – Grupo 6

A late, late goal gave FB Teulada-Moraira a 2-1 away win at CF Orba which keeps them joint top with CF Simat, who won 3-0 at home to UD Oliva. Early pace-setters UE Benifarió remain in third spot after a 4-1 home win over Almussafes CF.

Gorgos CF climb to eighth spot thanks to a 3-2 away win at CF Cullera, their fifth successive game without defeat, leap-fropping over CF Orba. CD Dénia “B” drop to the bottom of the table after a 1-2 home defeat to UD Alginet.

Leading Scorer: Ramón Matias Mohamed (UE Beniairó) – 11 goals in 13 games (3 penalties).

Tercera FFCV – Grupo 12

CF Benitachell remain three points clear at the top of the table after a 2-0 home win over CD El Campello “B”, both goals coming late in the first-half, the opener scored by former CD Jávea striker Álvaro Tiscar. The victory was their seventh win in a row as the side led by former CD Jávea head coach José Luis Bisquert continues to dominate the group.

CEF El Verger maintain the chase after a 3-1 win at CF UD Calpe “B”; the two sides will be meeting in a much-anticipated clash in two weeks’ time. CD Pedreguer are just a point behind as the Marina Alta sides dominate the group, thanks to a 3-1 away win at Atlético Callosa, their fifth win in a row, a run that has also seen them score 24 goals in the process.

Beniarbeig CF remain in 10th spot after a 4-3 home win over Mutxamel CF “B” whilst UD Ondarense climb to 12th spot after a 3-2 away win at UD Benissa “B”.
