MARINA ALTA FOOTBALL ROUND-UP | 12/13 April 2025
CD Jávea’s lead at the top of the table is cut to four points after their heavy defeat at promotion rivals Santa Pola CF.

Lliga À Punt Comunitat – Grup Sud

Novelda UD CF are three points clear at the top after a 2-1 win at SC Torrevieja. UE Tavernes remain in second spot after a 1-1 draw at UD Carcaixent whilsy Hércules CF ‘B’ retain the third and final play-off spot despite their shock home defeat to bottom club Paterna CF, thanks to UD Benigànim’s defeat at FB Redován CF. CFI Alicante move up to the 5th and within two points of the top three after a 1-0 win at CD Thader.
Olímpic de Xàtiva moved up a spot after a 1-0 away at Calpe CF whose second successive defeat means that they slide down a position and are now just four points off the drop zone. And it’s no better for CD Dénia who lost at L’Ollería CF and sit one spot above the relegation zone only thanks to a better head-to-head record over CD Eldense CF “B”.
Paterna CF climbed off the bottom of the table thanks to a brave 1-0 win at Hércules CF “B”, their first victory since the beginning of February. CF Gandia drop into that bottom spot after an away defeat to CD Eldense “B”, their fourth consecutive defeat which leaves them eight points from safety with three games left to play.
Primera FFCV – Grupo 4

CD Jávea’s lead at the top of table reduces to four points after their 0-3 defeat at promotion-rivals Santa Pola CF, who climb into second spot. Mutxamel CF’s third defeat in the past five games means that they slide out of the play-off spot whilst team-of-the-moment CD Murada’s 2-2 draw at Benferri CF, their nine game in a row without defeat, and Betis Florida’s 3-2 home win over CD El Campello keeps them both in the promotion race. Six points separates the top six.
At the bottom. Both CF Intercity ‘B’ and CF Sporting de San Fulgencio lost again, the former’s relegation to the Segona FFCV confirmed, whilst the latter having now gone nine games without finding the back of the net and are likely to join them. Benferri’s comeback against form-team CD Murada keeps alive their hope of avoiding the drop, although Villena’s win at San Fulgencio, their third successive victory, makes things difficult.

Segona FFCV – Grupo 6

CF Simat remain top by two points after a 2-0 home win over Gorgos CF and they extend their unbeaten run to 17 games whilst FB Teulada-Moraira remain second, thanks to a 1-0 home win over struggling UD Alginet, and are seven points clear of Daímus CF in third spot.
At the bottom CD Dénia ‘B’ are relegated, despite a 1-1 draw at CF Miramar whilst both Almussafes CF and UD Alginet both lost to remain firmly entrenched in the relegation zone, the latter now five points adrift of safety with five games remaining.
Tercera FFCV – Grupo 12

CF Benitatxell’s unbeaten run extends to 28 games as the club’s inevitable championship and promotion approaches; just three more points, surely coming from the next game at home to UD Benissa ‘B’, should do it, although it won’t be easy as the Benissa club have come into a bit of form, their 3-1 away win at FB Teulada-Moraira ‘B’ being their fourth successive victory.
Second-placed CEF El Verger’s run of five wins on the trot came to an end in the local derby against UD Ondarense, their first defeat since the end of February.
